William Banks, 67, died May 24, 2020.
William Gene Banks (Hollywood) was born in Desoto, Mississippi on August 13th 1952, to the late Mrs. Ella Banks Jones and Charlie Banks.
On February 1994, William earned his EPA 608 Type I & II Certification from Tennessee Valley Technical Programs. This was the start of his successful career in property maintenance & rehab, HVAC, and high pressure refrigerant equipment; serving at Kingston Manor (formerly Greenwood Square), 6111 Apartments, and Brierbrook Luxury apartments in Germantown. After retiring from a successful career, William spent his last three years working at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church & School where he was loved by the entire church staff.
William Gene Banks leaves to cherish his memories: One son, TyRone L Abram and two daughters Sharita R Baker and Erica D Banks; One sister Pearl M Wiley, and brother Chester J Banks; four granddaughters Shatera Clark, Makala Mason, Ahmiya Clark, Trinity Banks and one grandson Montavius Clark.
William was also a father figure to 5 other children, siblings to youngest child Erica Banks; Kimetra Clark, Elgin Clark, Santrese Clark Austin (Marvin Austin), Sametha Brown and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
William is preceded in death by one sister Georgia M. Caldwell.
