Obituary for William Baker

William Baker, age 76, died March 24, 2021.

Mr. William Baker was born in Oakland Mississippi June 4, 1944 to the late, Ms. Lorene Dudley and Leslie White. He confessed his faith in Christ as a child, and participated in different areas of church while visiting. He worked as a construction worker over 20 years.

One son preceded him in death, Charlie Johnson. He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Coral Baker and Pamela Baker – Mouyaga; and one son, William Baker Jr., all of Memphis TN. He also leaves two brothers, Mr. L.V. White & Frankie Lee White of Oakland, MS; one sister Rosie Nail Dargan of Chicago IL; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Don’t spend too much time mourning, tears are the sad, I left to be with Jesus and this should make you glad.

Don’t waste your hours grieving, no need to feel distress. I am tired of life’s frustrations and had to get some rest.

Don’t worry yourself with questions or try to reason why, life here for me has ended, it came my time to die.

Don’t lose the love I gave you, feed it with your care, grow it with devotion and spread it everywhere.
