Tauris Lynn Yates was born on May 24, 1977 in Memphis, TN to Linda Richardson Khan and Duke Jerome Yates.
After leaving high school, Tauris enlisted in the army reserves. After being honorably discharged, Tauris began his career as an owner and operator of his very own trucking company.
On February 2, 2019 Tauris departed this life.
He leaves to cherish his memories his son, Tauris Yates Jr. and daughter, Kailyn Yates, both of Memphis, TN; his mother, Linda Richardson Khan, (Columbus) Memphis, TN; father, Duke Jerome Yates, of Memphis, TN; brother, Dewayne Riley (Deborah); three sisters, Natasha Gooden, Jermika Yates, and Jamie Gooden Krone (Anthony), all of Memphis, TN; two grandmothers, Josephine Richardson and Beluah Redd, both of Memphis, TN; two aunts, Wanda Richardson, of Tampa, FL and Brenda Yates, of Memphis, TN; two uncles, Jessie Richardson (Diane) and Victor Redd (De'Leathia). He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
