On Monday, July 6, 2026, Stephen Thomas Meek passed away peacefully, holding the hand of his wife, Julie, as he had throughout their beautiful life together. It was a quiet and beautiful reflection of the partnership they shared.
Steve found happiness in life's everyday moments. Known for his generous and kind heart, dependable nature, and sense of humor, Steve was someone others gravitated to. While his time with us has come to an end, let us remember that Steve loved BIG and hard, and had a way of making people smile, offering encouragement when it was needed most, and reminding those around him to appreciate life's simple things.
Steve's legacy is not measured by the length of his life, but by the countless lives he touched through his compassion, loyalty, and unwavering love. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in every shared story, every favorite Dave Matthews song, every magical Disney memory, and every wagging tail that reminds us of the joy he found in life's simplest gifts.
Steve is survived by his wife, Julie Meek; his brother, Christopher Meek; his two nieces, Riley Meek-Tibbs and Christina Meek: and his two beloved dogs, Ginger and Quentin, whose unconditional love and loyal companionship brought him endless comfort, laughter, and happiness. He also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, and countless cherished memories that will forever keep his spirit alive.
