Obituary for Ruby Nell Preyer
Mrs. Ruby Nell Preyer was born on October 28, 1940, to the late Richard and Lula Mae Wilkerson of Braden, TN. She departed this life on January 12, 2022. She was the only daughter of five children. Brothers that preceded her in death, the late Fredy T. (Charlene) Wilkerson from Mason, TN, the late Oscar Lee (Georgia) Wilkerson from Racine, WI, George West Wilkerson from Mason, TN, and Dave (Delois) Wilkerson from Memphis, TN.
Ruby accepted Christ at an early age at the Old Williamson Chapel in Mason TN. She attended Fayette County Schools. As an adult, she moved to Memphis, TN and was united in holy matrimony to James Preyer in November 1968. She was employed many years at United Uniform where she eventually retired. She was the go-to person in her family. Ruby loved life and never missed a celebration. She loved cooking and caring for her family. Always smiling and being intentional about expressing her thoughts.
Treasuring her legacy is her only son, Donnie Lee (Linda) Wilkerson of Collierville, TN.; bonus daughter, Patricia Ann Wiley from Little Rock, AR; two granddaughters, Latoya (Michael) Childres from Memphis, TN, Latasha (Marchello) Hunt from Memphis, TN; five great grandchildren; two bonus granddaughters; seven bonus great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and host of friends.
