Ronnie Earl Love, Sr. received heaven’s invitation on May 6, 2024, in Conyers, Georgia at the age of fifty-nine. Ronnie was a musician, craftsman, and Jack of all Trades. There was not a task he couldn’t do if he put his mind to it. He was a man of discipline and order and balanced that with being a great conversationalist, cook, and house bartender for those who visited his home. Above all, nothing could top him being a proud father and grandfather to his beloved children and grandchildren.
On August 2, 1964, Ronnie was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Shirley Clarke and LV Love. He was full of life as a youth always finding ways to have fun from selling candy with his friends to rollerskating to place at his high school’s talent show; he was no stranger to many neighborhoods in Memphis. In 1983, he graduated from Kingsbury High School. After working for different companies, he found his place at Smucker's and later H.B. Fuller. Relocating to Georgia in the early 2000s, he climbed the ranks at H.B. Fuller for over 20 years until his earthly departure. Recently, he ventured into real estate, obtaining his license and becoming a realtor with Keller Williams.
A self-taught musician, Ronnie excelled at playing drums and keyboard and composing music. He was also a master craftsman making and reupholstering elaborate furniture, building his favorite outdoor deck, and continuously finding household projects to start around his house. Entertaining with food and drinks was his specialty. Known for his culinary skills, he delighted guests with his cooking expertise and signature drinks, such as his favorite hot wings and mojitos.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his father and brother, LV Love and LV Love, Jr. He is survived by his beautiful mother Shirley Clarke, and siblings Dorris Clarke, Bobby Love, Curtis Love, and Gregory Love. He leaves to continue his legacy sons, Jamarie Love, Soweto Love, Trimaine Black, and Ronnie Love, Jr., and his daughter Zaire Love. He leaves his grandchildren Anaria Love, Jamarie Love, Jr., Kimora Love, Soweto Love, Jr., Zy’Elle Harris,
Jayceon Harris, Kingston Harris, Khloe Black, Aniah Black, and Sha’Tonnie Love. He also leaves ex-wife Jerri Black, special friend Dee Anderson, pups Louie Love and Deojee, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many beloved co-workers and friends. His spirit, charm, generosity, genius, and laugh will be fiercely missed but his legacy is strong and will continue to live on. May our creative and diligent Ronnie Earl Love, Sr. rest in peace.
