Obituary for Regina King Siggers
Regina King Siggers was born July 22, 1963, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the fifth child of the late T. Herbert and Viola King. Regina lived in Memphis her entire life, until she relocated to be near her daughter in 2015. She transcended from her home to a better place Saturday, May 7, 2016. Even as a child, Regina was devoted to Christ, often walking to attend church. She gave her life to Christ at a young age at Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorship of Rev. Hayes. Later in life, she became a member of St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorship of Pastor Ronnie Porter. She enjoyed the sisterhood group and remained a member until her death. Regina valued education, earning a bachelor’s and master’s degree. She taught for Memphis City Schools. She loved to read and taught her daughter, Crystal, to read before she started school.
Regina Siggers wed Keith Siggers. Within
this union, one son was born, Keith Siggers II. She was preceded in death by her parents, T. Herbert and Viola King, as well as her brother, T. Herbert King II. Regina Siggers will always be remembered in the hearts and minds of her loved ones.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Crystal House (Kevin) and one son Keith Siggers II; her spouse, Keith Siggers; two sisters, Tempie Williams (Albert) and Lavern Thomas; one brother, Samuel King (Laverne); two nephews Christopher Newell (Ashley) and Christian Newell; and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation to be held from 12:30 - 1:30 PM on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Serenity Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:30 PM on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Serenity Funeral Home.
Commital Services will be conducted at 1:30 AM on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at West TN Veteran Cemetery.
