Overton Magsby, age 54, died September 6, 2022.
Overton Vernell Magsby was born on November 5, 1967, in Tunica, MS to Dan Magsby Jr. and Ruhtie Mae Magsby, both of Lula, MS. He is preceded in death by his father Dan Magsby Jr. and his sister Dorothy Collins Vortice. He accepted Christ at an early age at Greater First Baptist. He was a graduate of Craigmont High School. He was the oldest of four children.
Overton leaves to mourn his mother, Ruthie Mae Magsby of Memphis, TN; (2) sons: Marcus Magsby and Oveante’ Magsby both of Memphis, TN; (5) siblings: Danette Brooks (Larry Taliaferro), Angela Magsby, Michael Magsby (Candanice Magsby), all of Memphis, TN, Martha Sneed of Fayetteville, AR, and Mckenzie Smith of Coahoma, MS; and a host of relatives including nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
