Obituary for Michael Hamlin
Michael Hamlin, 62, died March 16, 2019.
Michael Anthony Hamlin was born May 22, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born to Thomas Hamlin Sr. and Ravella Hamlin. He was the oldest of four children. He accepted Christ at an early age in Cleveland, OH. He continued his walk with Christ at Springdale Baptist Church under the leadership of Interm Pastor Monroe Blocker. Michael served for the United States Army for over 20 years. He successfully retired from the Army and then joined the Memphis Police Department. He retired after 10 years of service.
Michael leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Dunetha Hamlin; three sons, Michael Hamlin Jr. (Nicole), Keith Hamlin (Anita), and Kenneth Hamlin (Aja); three loving daughters, Tamika Johnson (Donald), Shelby Cook, Jasmine Hamlin; his mother, Ravella Hamlin; his father, Thomas Hamlin Sr. precedes him in death; two brothers, Thomas Hamlin Jr. and Antonie Hamlin; one sister, Jacqueline Hamlin; two neices, Rachelle Hamlin and Ragine Hamlin; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves three sister-in-laws; Sharon White (Michael), Allealiar Saddler, Dorothy Adkins; one brother-in-law, Terry Saddler; a very special nephew, Yvos Saddler; godsons, Jeffrey Ousley and Hunter Green, goddaughters, Shannon Liggings- Green ( Melvin) and Candace Graham.
