Mary Elizabeth Woods, 67, died August 13, 2018.
Mary Elizabeth Woods was born to the late Mamie Lindsey and the late Corney Woods on August 30, 1950, in Rolling Fork, Mississippi.
Mary was a graduate of Rolling Fork High School in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. She later moved to Memphis where she met her neighbor, Raymond Bess who became the love of her life and life partner.
She loved cooking soul food and working puzzles, when she was not spending time with her loving grandchildren.
Mary was the last of seven siblings. She was preceded in death by Dan Crayton, Channie Reed, Lula Mae Clark, Mattie Mae Clark, Leroy Clark, Robert White, Corney Woods, Jr.
Mary leaves to cherish her loving memories her children : Derek Woods (Tameka), Mikki Cobbins (Darryl), Marcus Bess, Ashley Rudd; her grandchildren Kylan Key- Woods, Brooks Cobbins, Marica Bess, Jada Synigal, Marcus Synigal, Calvin Synigal, Morgan Synigal; their mothers Arica Taylor, Patricia Bady, and Camille Synigal; mother-in-law Carolyn Ward; sister-in-law Sandra Ruffin (Roy) and their two children Towanda Hassell, Laquis Bess; Aunt- Freddie Mae and her children Shae Boo, Brenda, Nelson, Robert, and David Lee; Uncle- Larry Bady; and a very dear friend Elizabeth Muse (Johnny); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
