Marvin entered this world on November 3, 1973. To the late Mr. Jimmie & Inez Woods. Marvin was in school so long, because our mother told him that he would remain until he got his diploma in 1992. It was a major accomplishment for him and my mother. Marvin had one of the biggest hearts in the world, he would literally give you the shirt, shoes, money, car or anything he had. He would so unselfishly share with anybody he knew and he could light up a room. Marvin’s favorite things to do was to eat and work at Kirklands where he was employed he would have probably worked 16 hours a day. I’ve never known anyone other than my father with such passion for work, and treating people how like he would want to be treated, just a friendly.
Marvin professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Green Grove Missionary Baptist Church he was a proud member of New Vision Ministry under Pastor Roderick Blaylock.
Marvin has left a legacy of love along with the lesson of how to forgive and not to hold grudges. Marvin was our favorite family member.
Marvin leaves behind, to cherish his memories, four sisters Brenda Woods, Gwenda Woods, and Danita Woods all of Bolivar, TN. Carolyn Samuels of Chicago Illinois. 3 brothers Jimmie Woods Jr., Jimmie Taylor, and James Taylor all of Bolivar TN. A host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Relatives, and countless friends. Marvin, you shall never be forgotten.
