Obituary for Lutee Milan
Lutee Milan, 84, died October 26, 2018.
Lutee affectionally called “Tee” was born in Lodi, Mississippi on the 18th of September 1934. She was second child born of ten to the late Allen and Arleva Hudson.
She chose Christ at an early age at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she attended faithfully with her family. She excelled in school, she graduated top in her class, voted “Most Friendliest” at Ruleville Colored High School in 1955.
On November 17, 1961, she married Robert E. Milan and moved to Memphis, TN. To his union three children was born.
She later joined Cummings Street Baptist Church, she became a member of the Missionary Society. She also was an honorary member of the “Sassie Seniors of Memphis, 2015”. She worked at Unarco Production for many years.
She was truly loved and respected by many and will be greatly missed. She once served as a historian for the local high school students through the Memphis Ambassadors Program. She leaves a legacy of Christian love of faithfulness by helping her neighbors and others.
She loved watching the news, reading the Bible, watching her spiritual programs, cooking, growing her gardens and pretty flowers. She also loved listening to the radio and has also made an appearance on the WDIA radio station commercial for her 75th birthday. Most of all, she loved her family dearly and they loved her back tenderly.
Lutee was preceded in death by her parents; son, Tyrone Jermaine Milan; and brothers, Cleave and Jack Hudson.
On Friday, October 26, 2018, “Tee” departed this life at her home surrounded by her children, Ronnie and Lisa.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Ronald Earl (Angela), New Orleans, LA; daughter, Lisa Michelle (Ryan) Thomas Jr.; brothers, Truman (Ann) Hudson, Jimmy (Mary) Hudson, Melvin Hudson; sisters, Arutha Allen, Madison, WI, Jearlean (George Lee) Palmer, JoAnn (Ed) Roundtree, Milwaukee, WI, Annie Laura Sumner, Orlando, FL, and Roland Heard; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends that dearly loved her. Also, her grand canines, Lucky Boy, and Sir Duke.
