Reflections of Life
Lawrence William Garrett II was born August 25, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee to Lawrence and Patricia Garrett. He departed this life on January 4, 2019.
Lawrence confessed hope in Christ at the age of 11 and was baptized by the late Reverend K.T. Whalum at Olivet Baptist Church where he became a member attending Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and participated in in various church activities during his youth and young adult life. Later, he and his daughter, Jessica Lashun Garrett attended Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church.
He graduated from Central High School in 1989. After high school he attended Fisk University on scholarship and joined Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business. After college he was employed by the State Department of Tennessee in accounting services. He later became co-owner of Jack N the Box Daycare where he worked in transportation and as Director. In 2015 he founded On Time Services, a realty management company. In the past year he worked as a supervisor at Visible Supply Chain. He was united in holy matrimony to Rhonda Poole, the love of his life to whom he was devoted.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Rhonda Poole-Garrett, his parents Lawrence and Patricia Garrett, one sister Lanetria “Wyndi” Monie (Andre), one daughter, Jessica Lashun Garrett, four step-daughters, Cherniecia Clark, Kimora, Kyarra and Rashada Poole, his first cousins, Keath Payne, Cynthia Payne-Talor (Gerald), Demetria Payne Carswell (Robert), Robert Payne, Jeff Garrett, Berdena Garrett, Donna Garrett, Joyce Cooper (Milton), Leroy Cooper Jr., and two nephews Andre Christian and Evan Lawrence Monie, and a host of other relatives and friends.
