Joe Ann Duckett was born on November 25, 1947 to the late Eddie Lee Duckett and Frankie Weeden. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.
Joe Ann attended Parkin High School. She later attended college, obtaining numerous degrees. She retired from AT&T after 25 years of service. She was a certified Orator.
Joe Ann had a passion for cooking, traveling, taking care of children, and spending time with her sisters, brothers and all others in the land of the living .
Joan Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy James Johnson, daughter, Jill Defray Joyner; and great-grandchild , Jaheim McKenzie.

She is survived by her loving children, Jamye Da’Shanna Johnson (Alvin); son, Jimmy Johnson, Jr.; grandchildren, Marcus James Johnson, Johnny Lee Johnson, Alex Whayne Wilson, Mike Allen Delroh, Natalie Joyner, Alexus Joyner, Jaylen Joyner; sisters, Dorothy Walker, Ruby Catlin, Joyce Scott, Lisa Cole, Andrella Curdup; brothers, Sylvester Duckett, Eddie Duckett and Gordon Duckett; great-grandchildren, Anaih Delph, Mackenzie Delph, Michael Delph, Jr., Braylin Delph, Jordan Johnson, Elijah Wilson and Marcus James Johnson, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
