Joe Edward Lloyd, 56, passed away March 22, 2021.
Joe Lloyd was born on October 2, 1964, to the late Frank Thomas Lloyd and Elnora Lloyd, in Memphis, Tennessee. He peacefully passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021.
Joe Lloyd was a graduate of Horn Lake High School, Northwest Mississippi Community College and Professional Career Academy where he received his HVAC certification. He was a loyal brother and friend. He would accept any challenge and loved to debate. Joe was an avid reader. Joe confessed his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Jude Missionary Baptist Church.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Frank Thomas Lloyd, his mother Elnora Lloyd, brothers Frank Thomas Lloyd Jr., Booker T. Lloyd, Hosea Lloyd, Larry Lloyd, an Willie Thomas Lloyd ; his sisters, Bettie Ann Taylor, Nora Mae Head, Bettie Jean Lambert and Lena Mae Lane and one brother in law George Head.
Joe Lloyd leaves to cherish his memory: one brother Darnell Lloyd of Indianapolis, Indiana; one brother in law Prince Lane of Detroit; one aunt, Ethel Lloyd of Harvey, Illinois ; one uncle Robert Ghoston of Amory, Mississippi; six nieces, Stephanie Brown, Richelle Coaster, & Jackie Lott, all of Memphis, Tennessee, Alice Lane and Janell Taylor of Texas and Brooke Hope of Missouri ; three nephews, Darryl Head, Derrick Taylor and Reginald Abston, all of Memphis, Tennessee; family historian Betty Jean Keaton of Mississippi; a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nephews, a host of cousins, a special friend Patricia Crawford and many other very close friends who will miss Joe Lloyd dearly
