Mr. James Brown was born on September 23, 1967 in Clarksdale, MS to Martha Robinson Brown and Richard Brown.
James earned his Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi Valley State University and joined the U.S. Coast Guard in June 1993.
Mr. James Brown departed his life on April 16, 2023 in Memphis Tennessee. While he is absent in body, he is ever present in the spirit.
James is survived by his daughter, Zaria Brown of Memphis TN. His wife, Servera (separated), and 3 bonus sons (Reggie Robinson and Dennis Brigham) as one preceded him in death (Vernon Edwards). He also leaves 8 siblings to cherish him: Willie Mae of Chicago, Illinois, Dorothy (Percy), Pearly (Terry), Mary Sheppard, all of Elkhart, Indiana, Ruby Redmond of Indianapolis, Indiana, Bessie Porter of Mishawaka, Indiana, Martha Payton of Ft. Wayne, and Leon of Minneapolis, MN; three brothers preceded him in death: Richard Brown Jr, Johnny Brown and Roosevelt Brown; an ex-wife he co-parented their daughter with (Veronica), many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a few dear friends.
