Haven L. Owens, Sr., 71, passed away May 23, 2021.

Haven Louis Owens was born July 18, 1949 to the late Curtis and Louise Owens in Cordova, TN. He was the 3rd of 10 children. He departed this life on May 23, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital on Park Avenue.
Haven professed his faith in Christ at an early age while attending Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Cordova, TN.
Haven graduated from Mt. Pisqah High School and shortly thereafter enlisted into the United States Army. He served in the Vietnam War where he was wounded and honorably discharged receiving the Purple Heart medal.
Haven married Beverly Hilliard and from that union two children were born.
Haven worked as a journeyman glass cutter at Binswanger Glass company from which he retired after over 20 years.
Haven loved to play softball and other sports. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially the numerous family reunions. He loved to laugh, talk smack and play cards, mainly SPADES!
Haven was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Clora Cole and Everlena Lurry, and two brothers, Rickey and Randy Owens.
Haven leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Erica(Bryan) Mosby and his son, Haven Owens II, both of Memphis, TN.; thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren; one brother, Curtis(Kim) Owens, four sisters, Patsey King, Edna(Ricky), Levelle Owens and Gloria Stuckey; one sister-in-law, Cassandra Owens, and a host of neices, nephews, family and friends.
