Obituaries
Glenn Williams passed away at Quince Nursing and Rehab on June 6, 2020. He was born in Memphis January 02, 1948 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar and Ella Williams. He later moved to New York and joined the Army at age 20 in 1964 and was honorably discharged in 1971 at the rank of Sergeant. Afterwards Glenn decided to attend a vocational school in Manhattan, New York to obtain a certificate for a certified auto mechanic for over thirty five years, he worked until his health failed him.
In 1983 he met and married Bennie Jewell Pierce who proceeded him in death, and into this union two children were born. He leaves a daughter Shaunte’ Williams of Castor, Louisiana and his son Tyrrel Williams who currently serves in the United States Air Force, a grandson Tristan Green, two sisters, Brenda Williams of Memphis, Tennessee and Mattie Price of Memphis, Tennessee, two brothers Garland Williams of Memphis, Tennessee and Daniel Williams of Hempstead, New York. A special niece of Bowie, Maryland Linda Waters and host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Throughout his life Glenn was a loving, dedicated father, brother, uncle and friend that loved unconditionally. At any given time he was also a “helper”, he would often give (the shirt off his back) to help an individual in need. He was full of life and laughter, loved to party and always gave his two sense even when change was not needed. He will be sorely missed by all. To know him was to love him!
