Obituaries
Dolores Penny Facelli, died peacefully at her home in Eads, TN on Friday, May 12th after a long battle with emphysema. She was 80 years old.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Terrance Facelli; her daughter Christina Facelli Reese (Kyle) of Kennesaw, GA and her son Terrance Facelli Jr. of Memphis, TN; her sister Rosemary Shupe (Lynn) of Memphis, TN, and her three grandchildren, Payton, Jackson, and Jordyn Reese all of Kennesaw, GA.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Furco; her father, Meredith Reed Jenkins; her sister, Barbara Tremont; and her brother, Nicolas Panelli.
She was born in Hartford, Connecticut on September 30, 1942 and after the family moved to Alcoa, TN she attended Our Lady of Fatima school and graduated from Alcoa High School in 1961. The family moved to Memphis, TN where she was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, and later she and Terry were members of St. Michaels Catholic Church.
She cared for children in her home (for several teachers at St. Michael’s grade school), worked as a cashier at Ace Hardware and later at Walgreens in Cordova where she retired in 2018 after 27 years of service. She often said her associates there were more like a second family. She tirelessly supported her children in their activities growing up and later despite her illness continued travelling to see her grandchildren, extended family, and friends. She was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.
