Obituary for Debra Faye Franklin
Life Reflections of Lady Debra Faye Franklin. She confess a hope in Christ at an early age at True Holiness Church to later become a member of the Mt. Carmel M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Alfred Franklin, Sr. then being a supporter to her husband became the first lady of Willing Souls Church in 1993. Lady Debra Faye Franklin married Pastor Forrest D. Franklin on June 17, 1980. She leaves a void to her amazing husband of 38 years Pastor Forrest D. Franklin. This amazing union birth three amazing children Derrick Franklin, Kevin (Shalonda) Franklin and Angela (Lazerick) Bearden all of Memphis. She was a loving Aunt/Mother to LaPresha Flowers that she was extremely proud of. Her life profession was to be a Proverbs 31 Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Niece, Aunt, Friend and most enjoyed serving as the First Lady to Willing Souls Church Family. She was blessed to have six amazing grandchildren that she loved with a passion. Lady Debra arrived into the earthly world on October 17, 1961 to the late James Lee Powell, Sr. (Brownsville, Tn.) and her mother, Ernestine H. Powell (Memphis, Tn). Lady Debra departed this earthly world on June 29, 2018 at 8:45pm to her new destination HEAVEN. Lady Debra leaves eleven siblings to cherish her memories: Sandra (Earvin) Vaughn, Harold (Sadie) Perkins, Carla (Tim) Barnes, Larry Madison, Lisa Kelly, Gerald (Cynthia) Powell, Anita (Tracy) Mills, Robert (Marian) Powell, Sharon Powell, James (Anita) Powell Jr. all of Memphis Tn. and Michael Powell, of Charlotte NC. Debra will be ADORINGLY remembered by a host of in laws, her church, friends, classmates, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and associates. Lady Debra Faye Franklin presence will be truly missed but her legacy will leave on forever in our hearts.
