Obituary for Deborah Denise Norvell
Deborah Denise (Turpen, Wells, Harkins) Norvell, 44, Munford, TN, died September 14, 2015 at the Methodist Healthcare Hospice Residence following a hard-fought battle with metastatic colon cancer. She is survived by her parents, James Norvell; step-mother Judi (Ripper) Norvell; mother Judith (Finley) Jacob; step-father Jeff Jacob; sister, Robin Norvell Durden (Paul ); niece, Violet Durden; nephew, Matthew Durden; daughter, Brooke Wells Childress (Jesse); sons, Kimbel Wells and Jesse Harkins; grandchildren, Jaden, Jensen, and Jessa Denise Childress, and step-daughter, Brandy Estes.
Debbie graduated from Horn Lake High School in 1988. She achieved her CNA license, and continued her dream at Faulkner State University in Alabama to become a Registered Nurse. Her studies were cut short in the fall of 2013 following her diagnosis.
Debbie’s life was dedicated to her children, especially Jesse, who is severely autistic. Her years as a mother showed her love, passion, and patience.
We, her family, were very proud of her and she will be missed by many.
Memorial services will be held at First United Methodist Church at Munford, 57 Tipton Street South, Munford, TN 38058, on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00 am. Reception/ repast will be held following the service. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society,
