On March 28, 1969, Dennis Palm and Brenda Mathews were united in holy matrimony. To this union were birthed one daughter and two sons. The sons were Damien Day Palm born October 20, 1976 and Darius DeRaun Palm born August 1, 1980. These brothers had an extremely close bond.

Both Damien and Darius grew up attending Bethel Temple Church of God in Christ under the pastorate of Elder Jonathan Rodgers. They accepted Christ at a young age. Damien attended Sheffield High school. He was an avid football enthusiast. The coach gave Damien the nickname, “Butterball” because he could take a hit and get right up. He was also a very talented free hand sketch artist. Damien enjoyed keeping up with the latest fashion trends. He also worked many odd jobs as a day laborer.

Darius attended Overton High school. He was big in stature and his heart was even larger. He looked up to his older brother and wanted to play football just like Damien but he found his niche was as a spectator, cheering his teams on. Darius was united in holy matrimony on June 13, 2006 to Kimberly Johnson. They were blessed with three sons. He was a proud father and he spent many Saturdays cheering at his sons’ little league football games. Darius did subcontract work at Skippy Peanut Butter in North Little Rock, AR, worked at Fed Ex, and was employed as a groundsman at Memorial Park Cemetery for over eight years.

On September 6, 2020 Damien and Darius together made their transition to their eternal heavenly home. Darius leaves loving memories to be forever cherished by his three sons, Dyrin, Keeland, and Elijah Palm and a special friend, Starria Atkins. They both will be dearly missed by their parents Dennis Palm and Brenda Robinson (James), their two sisters Monica Massey (Donald) aka “Nikki”and Sheena Palm; special cousins, Anthony Johnson and James Harris and a host of loving uncles and aunts and a multitude of cousins and friends.
