Clifford John Keirce, 98, passed away on November 4, 2023 in Memphis, Tennessee. Clifford was born on May 29, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan. Clifford served his country in World War II in the US Navy aboard the USS Ommaney Bay in the Pacific campaign. While on leave from the Navy in 1945 Clifford met the love of his life, Gloria Margaret Bodnar and they were married in 1948 and had 4 children. Clifford graduated from the University of Detroit and spent most of working career at Chrysler Motor Company.
Clifford and Gloria retired to Florida in 1984. They enjoyed the companionship of many friends who had also moved to Florida from the Detroit area. During their retirement Clifford and Gloria travelled extensively, visiting Europe and going on cruises.
In December of 2013, Clifford and Gloria relocated to Memphis to be closer to family. Sadly, in 2016, Gloria passed away.
Clifford is survived by four children and spouses, Gary Keirce (Sue) of Collierville, TN, Claudia Myles (Rich) of Hudson, OH, Carolyn Andreis (Bob) of Saline, MI and Clifford Keirce (Debra) of Ashburn, VA; 12 grandchildren and spouses, Kristen Keirce Corrigan (Jason), Jennifer Keirce, Kevin Keirce, Lauren Myles, Heather Myles Bortnik (Luke), Sean Andreis, Caitlyn Andreis, Michael Andreis, Brandon Andreis, Connor Keirce, Evan Keirce and Shannon Keirce and 4 great-grandchildren, Alyssa Wahlke, Tyler Corrigan, Evelyn Bortnik, and Lila Bortnik.
No services are planned. A private ceremony will be held at the Western Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Memphis, Tennessee.
