Brenda Joyce Scruggs, 64, died August 19, 2020.
Ms. Brenda Joyce Scruggs was born July 30, 1956 in Memphis, TN to Elvie Balfour Scruggs and the late Sydney Scruggs. She departed this life on August 19, 2020. Brenda accepted Christ as her savior at an early age. She graduated from Central High School in 1974. She served in customer service and retired from Internal Revenue Service. She was a faithful member at New Hope Baptist Church of Memphis since 1971 where she was a part of the Voices of Hope and on the usher board. She was known to all to be a caretaker of her family. She always made sure that all of her loved ones were always taken care of daily. She enjoyed traveling with her family and making unique crafts. She will truly be missed. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her son Jeremy Parker(LaKita), grandsons Jamarion White and Jeremy Parker II, mother Elvie B. Scruggs,sisters Sylvia Scruggs, Marline Spicer, and Bernice Moore. Her sister Pauline Story preceded her in death. She also leaves behind a host of nieces,nephews, and other relatives and friends.
