Obituary for Bettye Rice
Bettye Rice, 82, died July 21, 2018.
Bettye Rice was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Mrs. Ardien King and Mr. Ranye Banks.
Bettye married the love of her life, Earl Rice, and to this union seven beautiful children were born.
She attended Calvary Church in Memphis but later became a member of Hill Chapel. During her time at Hill Chapel she served on the Mother Board and was a Pastor’s aid.
Bettye worked for Baptist Hospital providing over 35 years of dedicated service. Bettye always enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, and most of all, playing with her beautiful grandchildren.
Bettye was preceded in death by her son, Michael Rice; and daughter, Rita Rice. She leaves to cherish her memories her four sons, Charles Rice, Jeffrey Rice, Donald Rice (Barbara) and Renard (Donna) Rice; one daughter, Barbara Rice; grandchildren, Paul Rice, Terranie Rice, Kevin Sanders, Dornisha Rice, Brittany Rice, Tony Rice, Tiffany Rice, Renard Rice, Jr., Terrance Rice, Sandra Clatcher, Carlos Rice, Rico Rice, and Shanton Rice; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
