Obituary for Adella Cohran
Adella Cohran, 60, died March 9, 2019.
One of God’s favored servants; a virtuous wife; a selfless mother; a giving grandmother; a dependable child; a fun-loving sibling; a faithful friend; and a mentor to many.
Adella entered this world on September 21, 1958. She was the first child of Adolph and Ellie B Williams. God blessed her with the gift of music and she starting playing the piano for Mt. Pisgah M.B. Church at the age of 17. She also played for New Sharon, Greater Gethsemane, New Galilee, Center Chapel, and Robinhood Lane.
She was also blessed with the gift of Administration. With this gift, Adella worked for several companies in the financial arena and started her own businesses.
She accepted Christ at an early age. She loved and served the Lord with all of her heart. Adella was a member of World Overcomers Outreach Ministries Church and served faithfully under the leadership of Apostle Alton R. Williams. She loved her church and served on the Healing Team, Evangelism Team, and as a pew pastor. In 2018, it was an honor for Adella to receive her Minister’s license and become one of the sisters of Adelphe So-Royalty.
She was preceded in death by her child, Tierney Veasley and her father, Adolph Williams. Adella leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband, Reginald Cohran, five children, Sheranda (Michael) Grant, Tarik Veasley, Calisha Veasley-Gonzalez, Tiera Veasley, and Daniel (Ashley) Cohran; mother, Ellie B Williams; eight siblings, Jamie Williams, Melvin (Eloisa) Williams, Glenn (Eletha) Williams, Marilyn Hunt, Mary (Chris) Hoyle, Brenda (Tony) Armour, Demetria (Ondre) Terry, and Raymond Williams; fourteen grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and many other special loved ones.
She will be truly missed but leaves a beautiful legacy of love, faith, and strength.
